Program Manager, Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR)
Ms. Fournier provides technical assistance, training, and resources to FIMR teams in 29 states. Training topics include team formation, abstracting medical records, maternal interviews, conducting effective reviews, and translating FIMR findings into action. As the FIMR Coordinator for the State of Michigan, she provided leadership and consultation to local FIMR programs for over 13 years. Before coming to the Center, she was the Midwest Nurse Consultant for the Nurse-Family Partnership® National Service Office, an evidence-based home visiting program for first time low income mothers. Ms. Fournier was a Project Director for the federally funded Healthy Start program in Saginaw, MI. Her clinical nursing background includes Antepartum High Risk, Preconception Care and Counseling, Childbirth Education, Newborn Nursery, Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, and Neonatal Intensive Care.
