The Michigan Innovations in Care Coordination (MICC) Project aims to improve workforce capacity and access to coordinated and integrated care for children at risk for Autism Spectrum Disorder/Developmental Delay (ASD/DD). Using innovative technology solutions co-developed by clinicians, service providers, payers, parents, and other stakeholders, the MICC project has created a highly automated workflow that supports timely identification, intervention and coordination of services.  This system automates the connections between multiple types of providers and takes the burden of care coordination off the family without adding burden to an already overburdened workforce.  Because of the diverse group of stakeholders supported as equal partners in establishing this collaborative system of care, it is being readily adopted by MICC’s partners.  The team hopes to make this system available more broadly across the state in the near future.

The MICC project team and partners have developed a series of educational videos and other resources that are available for families and providers below:

Resource Materials

    • MICC Resource Repository Table of Contents
This document gives families important resources often needed when they have a child with ASD or at risk of ASD. It is organized into topic areas, each topic area contains links to important information. Providers can also use this document as an easy access guide for referrals they often make to families.

    • ABA Satisfaction Survey
This survey was created by the MICC staff and partners to help organizations evaluate the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services being provided to families. The survey allows families an opportunity to rate the services being provided to their child. The survey is an important opportunity for parents and providers to gauge parent satisfaction with ABA services.
    • Provider Services Survey
The Provider Services Survey was created by the MICC project to collect information about providers important to families such as types of services available, access to bilingual staff, schedule management, etc. The questions are meant to provide families with upfront information about an ABA provider organization to help parents choose the best treatment provider for their child. Providers might answer the survey questions about their organization and create a document or add the information to their website so that it is readily available to potential clients seeking services at their organization.
