Expanding access to healthy food for Michigan residents young and old has been one a key priority of the Michigan Health Endowment Fund since their founding. From food as medicine approaches in clinics to fresh food pipelines and school nutrition programs, their Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyles team has funded food interventions of all kinds.

This report, assembled by MPHI, is part of our ongoing effort to learn from efforts already in place in order to guide future investments. It provides a sweeping overview of the hundreds of food interventions currently underway in Michigan, paying special attention to the communities falling between the cracks.

MPHI team members that supported this work include: Shannon Laing, Chiharu Kato, Libbey Kutch, Stephanie Fluegeman, and Paul Jacobson
