The Center for Collaborative Research in Health Outcomes and Policy (CRHOP) at the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) is a collaborative partner that provides scientific, methodological and issue-specific and administrative expertise to outcomes studies and policy-oriented research. CRHOP also provides technological support services, technical assistance, and trainings to its partners, collaborators, and clients. CRHOP is dedicated to innovative and collaborative public health research, education, and evaluation. Its purpose is to expand current patterns of thought through the creation and dissemination of public health knowledge. Our MissionThe Center for Collaborative Research in Health Outcomes and Policy is dedicated to innovative and collaborative public health research. We create synergy among a wide range of project partners by combining our issue-specific, scientific and technical expertise to advance theory, policy and practice. Our purpose is to expand current patterns of thought through the creation and dissemination of public health knowledge. The Center is an integral part of the Michigan Public Health Institute and advances its overall mission of improving public health in Michigan and beyond. Quality AssuranceQuality is an integral part of all CRHOP projects and is assured through detailed systems management, close collaboration with clients and usage of logistical planning methodologies. Every unit within CRHOP adheres to strict quality assurance procedures. The survey research unit assures quality through many practices such as ongoing monitoring (visual, audio, audio recording), and professionally trained data collection staff. Security and confidentiality of sensitive information is a high priority for CRHOP. Network servers are stored in a physically secure room that is locked at all times. CRHOP maintains a firewall to isolate its own internal network from the Internet, and has systems in place to detect unauthorized access to the internal network resources. CRHOP also has an Internal Review Board (IRB) and a staff person that ensures compliance with regulations established under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). All business contracts are reviewed by the IRB and the HIPAA privacy officer to assure that CRHOP is adhering to all regulations relating to privacy and confidentiality.Pricing:
