Resources
- Survey Research Unit (SRU): Operating for over 11 years, the SRU in CHE has extensive experience in survey research methodology. SRU operates a ten-station Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing lab with random digit dial capabilities and has the capacity to complete over 2,700 hours of data collection per month. In addition to conducting interviews and other data collection activities, the SRU can assist with problem definition, sampling and weighting methodology, questionnaire design, data entry and verification, data analysis, report writing and presentations, and dissemination of results.
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Lab: The GIS Lab is a new resource offered by CHE at MPHI. GIS makes it possible to integrate and analyze public health data from a geographic perspective, providing a tool to address public health concerns such as: investigating the causes of public health crises such as childhood obesity; disaster preparedness and emergency planning; identifying patterns of violent crime; discovering public health risks; and identifying barriers to health care access. GIS is used for scientific research, program evaluation, quality improvement, resource and asset management, need and impact assessment, and emergency preparedness planning.
